About CSE Clear
CSE Clear (Pvt) Limited (CSE Clear) is a fully owned subsidiary of the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) established for the purpose of the clearing and settlement of all transactions executed on the CSE.
CSE Clear shall act as the Central Counterparty (CCP) for Local Equity transactions & also clear all other locally & foreign denominated equity & debt securities traded on the CSE.

Provides clearing & settlement for both locally and foreign-denominated equity and debt securities, offering a reliable platform for all market participants. -
Central Counterparty for Equity Transactions
The CSE Clear will act as a Central Counter Party (CCP) all local equity transactions executed at the CSE where the CSE Clear will guarantee settlement of transactions by becoming the buyer to all sellers and the seller to all buyers. This mechanism reduces counterparty risk and systematic risk in equity transactions by guaranteeing trade completion, enhancing market stability, and streamlining clearing and settlement processes. -
Clearing & Settlement of Over the Counter (OTC) transactions
Provides clearing and settlement for Over the Counter (OTC) transactions carried out on the OTC platform of the CSE.
